I do realize I haven’t posted anything since June. This is partly so because I’ve been very busy with a number of projects, including a thesis in nano-technology, a Biblical commentary on the Book of Hebrews, and few smaller assignments in between. One of the books I edited last summer is now available on Amazon. It’s a multi-generation story about a family who flees war-thorn Sri Lanka and eventually arrives to Toronto. In this novel, you’ll find a healthy doze of history and magic realism. I’ll provide more information about it in my next post.
Now, here are some great news. I finally found a publisher who is interested in my novel. BHC Press is a midsize, hybrid publisher specializing in both genre and literary fiction. My novel is a story about a woman torn between her desire for a family and her passion for archaeology. It takes places in parts of Canada, Israel, and the United States. I would classify it as general fiction with some elements of chick lit and contemporary romance. Naturally, I’ll have to make a lot of changes to the story and the dialogues before it can see the light of day. But I don’t mind the least. I’m happy with whatever it’ll take to bring the story to its best shape. So far, I’ve resubmitted my first round of rewrites to the publisher and have been waiting for a feedback. I’ll keep posting more details along the editing and publishing process.
Stay tuned!
